I bought the excellent Covertec case from Aximcase.com. Guess what?
My X50v with Extended Battery fits perfectly!

I love the quality, craftmanship, price (well under $40 shipped) and the excellent removable belt clip.

BTW, the Covertec case has 2 slots to store your spare SD cards (in addition to 2 more credit cards... but when you use with extended battery, there is also room on top of the battery for another spare CF card. I cut and stick a plastic pocket in the top back of the case :-)

i tried it and i can see how you might be able to get the x50 in with the extended battery...personally i wasent able to get it to go in all the way without having to really stretch the case. So for now i will wait for the Piel Frama extended :)

EB case on preorder
EB cases just announced their cases for the x50. Two versions - one with a clip and one without. Was hoping this case would fit in the dock, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

EB Case is available
If anyone is interested, EB Cases is now accepting preorders for their new Slipper cases. I have used EB cases for my old Handspring and a 3800 series Ipaq. They are very well made with a magnetic closing cover.

The new X50 Slipper case doesn't work with extended battery. Everyone that is disappoint write and complain.

Does anyone know if the crystal (clear) case will ever be coming out for Dell handhelds? I love that case but unfortunatley it is not available for Dell at this time. AT least from proporta or javo edge. Thanks for any info. Mike
