Boxwave or WriteShield: I'm Still Confused
I'm still confused which one to order. As a rough user of PPC I really need one before my screen lose its clarity. But after reading the threads related to the screen protector I'm still unsure.

I think both are of good quality. But before I order I would prefer to know the experience of folks who have used or seen both Boxwave and WriteShields.

Thanks for your help

There's no clear cut answer, to be honest. One person will prefer one, while a different person will prefer another. I've used both, and haven't really noticed much of a difference between the two. However, I used Boxwave because I also order a lot of different things from them, they have great service, and usually there is a discount available.

A late post to this but I received my Boxwave pack of 3 screen protectors the other day and put one on last night and I'm very impressed. A perfect fit and I cannot even tell it's there. Very clear. Nothing like some of the cheap ones I've used in the past on other PocketPC's.

Except for the long wait for my order to come in from Boxwave, I am so far very happy with them.

Just got my Boxwaves today and installed one.

I used Writeshields for the past 3 years and love them.

Boxwaves seem just as good, and perhaps a bit hardier=easier to install.

I'm about to send them an e-mail though because the first one I opened had two nasty gouges in the center of the protector. I'm sure just a fluke though.

I went with Boxwave this time because shipping was so much cheaper, and reports seemed to put them on an equal par with Writeshields.

I'm considering buying the Boxwave Crystal. How much wear can I expect to get out of 1 protector assuming average useage? I remember the WriteRight for my Palm V recommended it be changed monthly. I'm trying to decide if I want to order the single pack or the triple pack. Thanks!

I used WriteShields on my Asus and my first Axim (WriteShields are similar to the BoxWaves), and I am a pretty heavy user. My Asus still has the original protector on, and I have had it for ten months. My Axim X5, I think I had it on for over a year.

I went for the writeshields since they come with all the cleaning fluids and tools to allow for removal of all dust and oils from the screen, ensuring an immaculate install..

I have the Writeshields. The kit is incredible and the protector is virtually invisible.

Brighthand has some reviews of screen protectors. I decided to go with the Boxwave. Here is the link. http://www.brighthand.com/article/Protect_Your_Screen

This coupon works for 5% off Boxwave orders

Same here, but ordered some Boxwaves to see... may as well have some on hand.

When I first got my X30 I ordered the Boxwave Crystals. I liked them at first but I switched to the WriteShield AG, and I think I prefer the WriteShield.
The Boxwaves felt sturdy, but I was disappointed that I noticed scratches in just a couple of weeks. It wasn't just because of the clarity; I noticed it in the feel of the stylus. At least they were sturdy enough for me to remove them, wash them, and then turn them so the scratches were on a less used part of the screen.
The WriteShields don't feel as sturdy. I probably won't wash them. But the good thing is they don't seem to scratch as easily. When it comes to sensitivity and feel, the WriteShield wins hands down. They don't seem to affect the sensitivity of the screen as much, and the surface feels more like paper.

Okay, my turn.
I used the Boxwave's on my x3i and borrowed my last one for the x50v until I find something.
I use the graffiti type writing A LOT and the state that the screen was in within a months time just doesn't justify the cost. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't really see anything useful out of the area that gets written on. For that kind of money I want it to last at least 4-6 months. I use them that long anyway since I'm cheap like that but it really irritates me everytime I use it!!!!!!!!!
Any suggestions, I NEED to order some for the x50v and SOON!!

greetings:

I remember last week (or was it earlier this week) .. i was reading a posting from boxwave about a discount for aximsite.com members. it was regarding delays and a mess of problems/issues between customers and boxwave. in that thread i believe there was also a link to some earbuds at a discount price which you can add the aximsite.com's discount code for additional savings.

does anyone know the discount code and/or thread? i want to purchase a screen protector and maybe this is the best way to try one first (at a discount .. )

Thanks in advance for any help.
