Will this work.... GPS - USB cable - Car charger combo

Hi folks,

can someone tell me whether the below configuration should work, and if there are any easier options?

[Axim X50v]

Travel Sync Cable
|
|
X
|
|
Holux GPS cable
GM-210 for USB ------- [cigarette lighter socket]
|
|
[Holux 210 GPS]

Any trouble I could face? Will this charge the PDA while it is switched on, or not?

Drats, I jusr realised the GPS-USB cable probably does not have a lighter socket power connectio.... Unlike the other GPS cables...
