2GB Sandisk Compact Flash Problem
I'm a newbie to the PPC world so i still haven't figured out a lot of things, and because of this i have come to you guys/girl. i bought a 2GB SanDisk Compact flash along with my very first pocket PC the X50 Midrange. well to get to the problem i keep trying to fill up the storage to its 2gb capasity or around it and i can never get over 1GB cause it either says there isnt any room or cause "The directory or file cannot be created", but on the pocket pc it says there is still 1GB left and when i calculate the amount of stuff i have on it it only adds up to around 1000MBs (1GB). Please help me!!

Try to reformat the card with FAT32 filesystem.

put it in a card reader, and use your laptop/desktop, or download some ppc software (there's a few that do it)

I would do it with pocket mechanic, download the trial from handango. Then you will be sure to get the filesystem for your needs.

How much stuff are you trying to put on the card at a time? If are installing large quantities of data/progams that can cause the card to appear to be fubar. Try working with smaller quantities and see if that helps.

Ive been having the same type of problems with my 2GB card(Lexar pro 80x), it seems i cannot fill it too its maximum. I tried 2 different readers from my desktop. I tried copying it from my wifi network to the card installed in my x50v, Formatting it to Fat32 from the desktop, tried to format it from my x50v but it just hangs in the busy mode. i have 2 700mb movies i want to load on it, the first one loads on no problem the 2nd one gives me the problem. I either get a Path is too Deep error or Cycle redundancy error. Any suggestions?
