From other posts yes. However, if you go to Dell's web site now under X50 accessories, you will see an Axim power adapter for around $20. I happened to have a $100 coupon, so I got myself a 160GB drive for $90, plus the power adapter for $20. The two (with the coupon) came to $12 with tax. The coupon was given to me by customer service for a past issue.
I got the extra cradle, with no power adapter when I first purchased the X50v, but having to have the Axim off to charge it while I am at work is a bit of an inconvenience. I should get the adapter in a few days. The drive is on back order, but at that price ... I can wait
