Opinions on Rhinoskin Case for x50v
this case is pretty nice, but i do have a few complaints...

1. the screw and belt clip combination is pretty bad...not sure if it is just mine. the clip is difficult to remove from the screw and back of the rhinoskin.

2. i wish the front of the rhinoskin would be clear so you would not have to open up the unit to see whats there...this way, you could map some buttons and not even have to open the unit if you wanted to watch movies or listen to mp3's. how come there is not case like this?

3. i do like the way it protects the unit, and i like the 2 SD slots it offers.

4. what the hell were they thinking? you cannot soft reset the unit while in the case!!!!

others, please give your opinions as well!

my complaint is that if you want to use the cradle to charge you have to take it out of the rhinoskin case...the soft reset issue as well, but its more of a pain to have to keep removing it to charge it

After using mine for about 3 weeks I don't like it. It's clunky to use. Soft reset is a problem. I'm looking for something else, maybe a Sena.

I don't have my x50v or the Rhinoskin (yet!), but I wonder if someone couldn't hack it w/ some plexiglass, or am I just sounding stupid?

My clip broke after three days (the screw popped out of the PLASTIC CLIP!). What were they thinking making their "RhinoClip" out of plastic? It holds a $500 PDA on your belt - what if it had fallen off while I was walking down the sidewalk? I sit in an office all day, its not like I put much strain on the thing. It is a blot to their name. I even sent them an e-mail of disgust.
As for soft reset, I don't lock up enough to need the hardware button, and just use my software button (spb pocket plus) on the today screen for all non-lockup related soft resets (such as WiFi or Bluetooth not coming up).
As for charging, you can leave it in its case to charge if you use the small charge adapter instead of the cradle. Since I use WiFi to sync with my PC, I never use the cradle.
