Rhinoskin case and an extended battery...
Has anyone modified their rhinoskin case to fit the extended battery? Or do you know if rhinoskin will be making one that fits?

i just got my axim today with the 2200 battery. But it looks sooo nice in the rhinoskin. I almost just want to use the 1100.

Yeah, it fit's pretty well doesn't it?

I ended up returning my 2200 for two replacement 1100's. It would be tricky to be modified by the end user as there's no way it would slide down to locate in a hole for the 2200's extra bulge. Perhaps if it was loaded from below instead.

It seems to me you could easily cut out the back of the Rhinoskin case, and then attach the battery AFTER you insert it into the case.

I am using a rhinoskin titanium case I originally used for my Visor Deluxe, and my axim fits into the case with the battery in place.....I removed the plastic insert to allow this to happen....

Edit.....Darn It...I have the x30H not the x50!!! My mistake posting here

Ahh, this is a tough call. I saw on another thread that people with the 2200 using Dells case were experiencing "oil slicks" on the screen from the pressure. Hopefully I can hunt down another case. I wrote rhinoskin today asking if they intend to make a case to fit the extended battery. We'll see.

Yeah... I wrote them a while ago.. They have no plans to accomodate the extended battery:

Dear Mr. Reed,

Thank You for your inquiry. Unfortunately, due to space restraints, the case will not be able to accompany the large capacity battery. At this time, there are no current plans to revise the case. Again, thanks for your interest in Saunders.
