I was wondering if an external speaker can be used via the sync/vga out plug on the bottom of the pda. Is there an audio out somewhere in the plug? There seems to be at least 30-60 pins in there. I don't want to use the headphone jack as an output. I'd like to get an external speaker to work in the cradle.

Correct.
I dont want to be plugging in a HP jack every time I set in the cradle. As it is now, I put the x50 in the window holder, plug in the power, plug in the cigarrett adapter, plug in the BT reciever and another cigarrett outlet. Very cumbersome. I like the sedieo car mount, but that still needs a jack to plug in for audio. This would probably wear out the x50 as I use my GPS daily and remove when exiting the car. Hence this would be 5-6 insertions and removals daily.
