I've presently got a nokia 3650, but I'm getting annoyed with it and the lack of speed of it's CPU. (~20 seconds to pull up an SMS sometimes)
What bluetooth Cel phone works best with the X50?
One main use would be remote SMS receiving/sending.
Something else nice would be to move pictures from the phone to the PDA.
Actually getting on the Net through the phone isn't high on my list, the cost of doing such things in Canada are pretty nasty.
Assuming you are in Canada, the carrier with the most choice in BT phones is currently Rogers. From what I have read, the Sony Ericsson models (e.g., T637, T616) work well with Axims. I personally have a Motorola V551m and have had no problems with BT while using it with the X30H or X50v.
Get a Microsoft Smartphone. I have the Audiovox SMT5600, and it works great with the X50v. If you aren't planning on getting online with it, you probably don't need one with Bluetooth (unless you want to use a bluetooth headset). The Motorola MPx200's are selling very cheap these days, and you could just pop the SD card out of the phone and into the Axim to transfer files.

Can send and receive SMS on your axim via BT from your phone? I have a moto v600 and can not get the sms working at all.
I have never tried this before so cannot tell you. What program did you use on your Axim to try this?
I tried numerous ones. The most noted that worked flawlessly with my departed sony ericsson T616 were mphone standard, simple sms, and Running Voice GSM.
None of these programs work with v600 to send and receive sms. Strange.

I'm really curious if this works or not. I have Mobile Phone tools on my laptop and can connect to the phone over BT, and send and receive sms, but not through the Axim.
Ok I just tried Simple SMS and SMS Manager. I got some errors while sending with Simple SMS but wasn't sure how to change the configuration to make it work, so I moved onto SMS Manager. I successfully sent a message but have not yet received it. If I get a chance later, I will try mPhone. I'll keep you posted if anything ends up working.
I got a sony ericson t-637 and love it. Cingular on the other hand, I do not like so much. I am waiting on activating my account online to send and recieve data. Their website is down today. 2 days before Christmas, pretty smart...

I will try sms manager, see how that works. Simple SMS is....simple There is not much to configure, as far as I know. I think the problem lies with moto and their implementation of BT. I might give moto a call to see what they say. I'll keep you posted as well.

I don't have Simple SMS open right now, but I got an error about the Service. In Options, there is a place to configure this, but I am not entirely sure what it means.
If I get a chance later, I will try mPhone. I'll keep you posted if anything ends up working.
