Hard or soft case?
I read some just cannot go without a hard case like Rhino, but they have to remove their PDA in order to charge it. But the soft cases can sztay on during charging.

I was considering the soft case with magnetic flip cover (going over the top) - which seems easier to use it with one hand. The Rhino only opens like a book and must be held by two hands, but seems to be a more secure protection for the PDA.

Which is better? I am leaning to soft flip case, especially if I get an extended battery for the X50v, which I am sure does not fit inside that Rhino case!

I'd like to hear from those who use these cases.

i personally prefer soft cases, but it is really everyone's own opinion

most leather cases will not fit the extended battery becuase they are custom fitted...i assume some companies will make cases that fit the extended battery though in time

Personally i love Sena cases and Piel Frama cases...but for a hard case nothing beats rhino skin

I have the same question between hard and soft. Hell, they aren't that expensive so I might just get both!

That's what I did. My x3i spent about 15 minutes in the Rhino case & 10 months in the Sena. Soft flip with magnetic closure for me.

So LarryNJ, you must feel the Sena case was adequate protection from accidental dropping. Did the magnetic cloosure hold, and the corners
(exposed in the Sena pictures) still protected the Axim corners from injury?

My decision to not use my Rhino case had nothing to do with protection. The rhino was too big and uncomfortable in my pocket, very slippery, a pain to open, and awkward to hold.

The Sena magnetic closure holds fine, is easy to flip open with one hand, (which I do numerous times a day) and simple to hold.

As for protection I've dropped my axim several times without damage. The front flap is stiff enough to protect the screen. The corners are slightly exposed but I don't see it as an issue because the front & rear are thicker so the corners are recessed slightly.

If protection is your main objective get the Rhino, obviously aluminum is stronger than leather. If size, ease of use, comfort, & style are more important get a Sena.

Good Luck!

I used the Belkin Cordovan leather case for about 9 months. I really like it, except that it puts pressure on the screen, which has resulted in a permanent moire pattern.

I then popped for the InnoPocket Aluminum case. I wasn't fond of it @ first, but I've grown to love it. Its stylish, provides great protection, & doesn't put pressure on the display.
