I use it for my Ipod, it sucks. You have to turn the volume way up on the receiver and remember to turn it down before you switch channels or you'll go deaf.

I have the TuneCast II and it works great with my iPod - I can leave the iPod and the radio both at about 1/2 volume and I can still hear it easily going 75mph on the freeway.

Your volume problem is probably because the iPod lineout is set very low - there's a free program called euPod that will go through and boost the volume tag on all of your iPod files so that they're louder. I use it every time I add new music to my iPod, it only takes a few seconds. You can get it at http://espen.se

why get an ipod if you got an axim?
i guess you can argue around the storage, but 1 GB on a cf or sd (or even a microdrive) is more then enough for "mobile" collection...and you can always add and remove songs until you build the "ultimare cruize flash card"

Nah, I hate having to decide what to take and what to leave. With the iPod I have my entire music collection with me all the time. Plus it's a lot easier to use in the car, which is where I listen to music 99% of the time.

Thanks for the info BooDa. I use my Ipod all day at work and I can get about 10 hours of playtime. I definetly cannot get that with the Axim.

No problem. I used the TuneCast with a different MP3 player before I got an iPod, and there was a huge difference in the volume level. euPod really helps, I don't think I could stand to use an FM transmitter without it.

Good point about the battery life too. I sure wish battery technology would improve enough to get that kind of life on a PDA.

I get interference with the Belkin but I think that is because I live in a large city. I assume that happens with all FM transmitters. If youre not in a big city you should be good with the Belkin.

HI

Seidio offers a good quality FM transmitter and also the optional ground loop isolator to go with it if there is a ground loop noise.

You will not be disappointed.

I picked up a 400FM iRock (from Radio Shack). Works on either 12v car adapter or 2 AAA batteries. Transmits on your choice of 4 stereo frequencies. I like it alot. Works great with the Axim x50v.

There are newer models out apparantly: www.myirock.com
