eBay for X50 Accessories?
Has anyone used eBay for X50 accessories?

I'm looking for an AC and car charger - And I noticed that rjackson72 on eBay is selling them for $6.99 each, but I'm skeptical about the quality of these. Is there any danger using these with the X50? I don't want to fry my new toy.

Here are the 2 auctions I'm looking at:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...1960 689&rd=1

and

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...1961 067&rd=1

Any help is appreciated.. Ash.

No problems here...
Recently bought a charging USB cable for my x50v from this vendor. Good transaction, quick ship, no complaints from my end.

The cable works without a problem - use it as my main charging cable now.

Hope that helps...good luck!

When I had my Toshiba e740 I bought a car charger for about $10 on Ebay and it worked just fine. It was better quality than the travel charger I got from Boxwave for my X50v for a lot more.

I might get the super value 7 package for all the extra chargers/syncs. He had 9 negative transactions for the past month but he seemed to correct each one. Also he had like 1800+ positive ones. Man, he sure does a lot of business!

I have my eyes on this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3241 966&rd=1

If the bid dont go more high than say 18$ I will see if I get this. 6$ is the bid now, and thats not bad at all.

You need to be very careful what you plug into most power inverters (those that use modified sinewave technology). I had one fry the charging circuitry in an electric razor. There are inverters that use Pure sinewave technology that are safer, but very expensive. Do a google search and you can find more information on the limitations. If I remember correctly, the problems are mostly with devices that have the charging circitry builtin the device more so than those that use power bricks, but as expensive as PDAs and Notebook Computers are, is it really worth the risk.

Curious. Most people are having trouble charging their X50 from the USB port because of the limited current supplied under USB specs. Are you successfully charging your X50V from a USB port? There are several threads on this.

I hadn't been keeping up with the posts until today, but I guess I did a bit of an inadvertant experiment last night.

x50v was down to about 10% battery, plugged it into the sync charge usb cable and continued playing Warring States. Charged up to 100% over the next few hours (wasn't watching the clock that closely, and put it down for awhile now and again.)

End result - fully charged while running (for at least half of the time) thru a USB port on a laptop computer. I can tell you that it got a bit warm during the process, but not noticably hotter than using the AC adapter while in use.

I don't claim to be an electrical engineer, so you can regard this as anecdotal, but my USB port is still working, and the battery does seem to be fully charged (when I place it back on the cradle, light comes up green).
