Rhinoskin Problems?
Hey. I just ordered an X50V that will be arriving shortly. I ordered a Rhinoskin case for it.

It seems to me that the SD Card Slots in the front cover create alot of potential for cracking the screen.

I love the case design but has anyone had any problems with theirs and what are all of your thoughts.

Todd

I, too, wonder about this.

I have not had a problem in this regard. Seems to me that someone on the list said that they bumped (although that may be an understatement) into the corner of a table/desk hitting their Rhinoskin directly on the part of the case that holds the SD cards, dislodging them. I cannot seem to find that post, so I hope I'm not promoting the contents of a bad memory.

When I carry my X50 in my trouser pocket, I always turn the screen toward me. Hope that makes it safer!!

quick rhino-skin review
I order a rhino-skin when I ordered my X50v. I also ordered the extended battery w/ sd memory card. The rhino-skin is great - fits well, solid, decent belt device. The bad is that you can forget the extended battery. Sure wish Dell could have flagged that in my order. Now I am searching for a nice leather case (if anyone has a suggestion - post it).

I had a Rhinoskin for about 3 weeks, jumped into my truck and it hit the ground. The spring on the clip busted, guess I must have bump it pretty hard. Anyhow, called Dell and they said they would send a replacement. Checked order status and its in production...wont ship til end of month.

Try contacting the makers of the rhino-skin maybe you'll get a quicker response> http://www.saunders-usa.com/

A different problem:
I've had the screw for the belt clip disconnect from the unit itself while walking - twice!
Luckly, the case itself did the job and nothing broke... this time.
Anyway, I dabbed a little threading-glue around the screw before screwing it in this time, and so far so good -- but I no longer feel as confident about using the clip.
