Hi.
I recently bought an Axim X50v, and I'm planning on buying a "Compact Flash GPS".
Is there a cable to plug the Axim in the car lighter so as to use the GPS without depleting the battery?

Sure. But, you might want to try one of the Seido cradles. It holds the x50v so you can see it, charges the battery and has a speaker so you can hear the instruction from the GPS program.
