My Boxwave also has edges not adhereing well. I followed their instructions to the letter. In the end, I am unhappy about it, but it is not normally noticeable, and the crystal clear protector is perfectly clear. So I accept it as an imperfect product.

At least you have received yours.
I ordered my screen protectors on Jan 9th and as of today Jan 21st have not received them after receiving two emails from Boxwave indicating they were sent on the 10th then again on the 12th.

There is no phone number on their website, so they must only want to deal with customers at their convenience. Forget about the customer contacting them at their convenience!!!

Really getting aggravated with this whole ordeal.

JF
JF in Detroit,

In regards to the edges of the ClearTouch Crystal not adhering toward the edges: The ClearTouch needs time to conform to the surface of the screen after it's been applied. After a week or so, the edges will begin to "cling" better to your screen.

However, some of you may see a small area of the corner that may stay slightly lifted. This is the force lifting the edges up because of ClearTouch Crystal's rigidity is stronger than the force "clinging" ClearTouch Crystal to the screen.

No worries! Over time and use, the edges will automatically find itself perfectly conformed and settled onto your screen. Your only cost: a temporary annoyance, at most. ;) You'll find yourself "unaware" of the Crystal on your screen in no time!

Please feel free to PM me with additional questions! :)

Cheers!
Sung

I sent a PM with all the requested info.

As I stated in the PM,
placed the order on Jan 9, received delivery notice on Jan 10. Received another delivery notice Jan 12
  • Jan 9 - Placed order for Crystal Clear protector
  • Jan 10 - Received delivery notice - stating 3-5 days to expect order
  • Jan 12 - Received another delivery notice stating order just sent out
  • Emailed customer service - told order sent on Jan 10, but to wait
  • Jan 21 - sent email to customer service and no response as of today (Jan 24)
  • Jan 24 - No delivery, called USPS and they do not have pkg at post office waiting for signature or anything

I have not used the thing without the plastic screen thing it comes with since I am waiting for my Crystal Clear screen protector.

Please see my PM...I explain more details!!!

Thanks for your time,
Charles

More than 5 weeks passed, nothing improved, only even worse (now 3 edges and 3 corners). And I found that Boxwave only provides 30 days warranty. Not happy with that Can I still ask for a replacement?

Engr,

Are you interested in a replacement for another ClearTouch Crystal? If the edges not lying flat is your only concern, I would like to suggest you try the ClearTouch Anti-Glare. :)

Our return policy is 30 days for refund and 100 days for exchanges. Please contact our customer service department: customerservice@boxwave.com to process your exchange.

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact me through PM! :)

Cheers!

Wow, that's terrific. In fact, I was so frustrated with the edges. Last week I ordered a Brando Workshop UltraClear (along with their flip top case). If Boxwave can exchange my ClearTouch Crystal with an Anti-Glare, that would be great. Let's do a comparison among the three screen protectors.

I must say I'm quite satisfied with the ClearTouch, except that the annoying edges and corners really make me uncomfortable.

Engr,

Have you received your Brando screen protector yet?
If so, how do you like it compared to the Boxwave?

I have been waiting since Jan 10 (supposed ship date of mine from Boxwave) to get my order and nothing as of yet.

Online rep (Sung) indicated they would send another one since the order got lost, but I sent (2) PM's the past (2) days asking him to verify if they shipped the replacement. Now, I have not received a response from him.

I am getting ready to buy numerous screen protectors and accessories for a company, but as it appears Boxwave is falling down on the list of vendors. I am hoping to check out their quality first hand.

Please let me know what you think of the Brando because our $ may be better spent there. I have tried everything under the sun so far!!!

Later,
Chas

Hi, Chas,

I haven't received Brando screen protector yet. Considering they are shipping from Hongkong, I guess it will take 2-3 weeks. If you are still interested, I will let know you once I receive it.

BTW: I returned my Boxwave screen protector for a replacement, using their "advanced replacement process". They're sending me a replacement and charge my credit card for it, and will refund me when they receive the defective one (including the returning postage for the defective one). If you are going to buy numerous protectors from BoxWave, perhaps you'd like to know how their "advanced replacement process" works, either. Let's see... :)

I still get the "oilslick" on my Crystal protector after many weeks now of having it on. It comes and goes, and I have a hypothesis that it is occuring due to cold (maybe even room temp) temperatures. Whenever I take it out of my laptop case after it has been sitting up against my warm laptop, the slick is gone. The protector material I would guess is expanding/contracting, so when it contracts (cold) it puts pressure on the screen at the middle.

cwhecker3,

I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to receive a response from us. To my understanding, you have been in communication with Sung through PM since the 24th of January about this situation. If you have sent any other PMs after this date, we have not received any other PMs since that date. Have you checked to see that you've sent them to the correct name?

In any case, we've taken action to your request to reship the package via USPS on January 25, 2004. Please let us know when you receive the package and also if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best Regards,

Cho
