that reminds me, whatever happened to the Twin-something-or-other USB-CF adapter with the double ports? Was it ever released?

As for the Trio, the idea is not to use an existing thumbdrive with the Axim directly, it's to turn your SD card into a thumbdrive. The Simpletech Bonzai in my signature does the same thing, but it doesn't accept Sony Memory Sticks, just SD. It's also smaller than the Trio.

P guess I am not clear as to wait I am asking,

I would like to know if there is a compact flash card or SD card that has a USB port on it so you can then plug your jump drive into it. I know this is crazy but I have never had a PDA before and mine will be here next week. I can not wait,

Thanks

Well......there was a USB CF Host Card but I cannot find it anywhere on the site,
...........and trust me, I do know how to Search AximSite...........
but I cannot find any reference to it. Prolly somewhere in the Archives.

What you want (much cheaper than the CF USB Host Card), is something similar to the Lexar Jump Drive Trio
(there are several Makes/Models/Card compatibility configurations) .

It allows you to insert an SD Card into the "Jump Drive Device", plug it into a PC, and DL into it.
You then remove the JD from the PC, remove the Card from it and plug the card into your Axim....
....and there are your Files, ready for your Axim.

Excellent idea. Thanks a lot for the information. I didn't know such thing existed until now. I'm going to buy this baby sometime soon.

Here's the answer. 2 seconds on Google, and it was easily found...says it works with Axims, and it is intriguing...

http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/...ges/cfu1u.html

All yours for $139 plus shipping. Is it worth it?

I had one. The transfer rate is slow (and even slower if you're writing to a flash card in the Axim), but it would work for small files. Don't expect to get anywhere near USB 1.1 speed, though.
