There are many threads on this topic. In a nutshell, the most highly recommended ones are Brando, Boxwave and WriteShields (not in any particular order). Do a search for those names here and you will find lots of opinions.

Here is a recent thread:

http://www.nushield.com/ They look like they are similar to the ones Dell sells. the site says that 3 will last for a year.that makes them more expensive than the others in my mind.

I just received my dell x50v and i ordered dell's screen protectors, and theirs has that sticky residue, meaning bubbles are hightly possible. You think nushield is exactly the same way? Because if you read the description on nushield.com, it says that its the kind that you just slide in, meaning no bubbles and no residue left behind. I'm not sure though.

I didn't think the Dell ones were sticky. I had the ones for the x5 and they just slipped under the edge of the screen. I guess they changed them.

the problem that i see with that type is that if a spec of grit were to get in betweem the screen and the protector it could cause scratches without you knowing until it is too late. just my 2 cents worth.

I did a search on eBay and see there's a seller selling CompanionLink screen covers for the X50 / X50v - has anyone tried using these?

I can't recommend the Writeshield C2s enough! Excellent, and zero bubbling as long as there's no dust under the protector of course. Just apply the protectors in a steamy bathroom, no matter what brand you get.

Maybe his site is down. I have ordered another one.

Last weekend while working at my desk, I opened a new tube of supergule. It "POPED" as I went to poke a hole in the top and a drop fell on the screen of my X50v. (Which was a least 2 feet away)
OMG was my first thought. I removed the protector and nothing was damaged on my Axim 50V.
