Sena Case for X50v + Extended battery
I just received my new Sena case today . It came fast! I ordered it friday 1/21 and received it today 1/24.

I know it was made to hold an Axim with a standard battery (and it fits perfectly), but curiosity got the best of me and I decided to try it with my extended battery. It is a very tight fit but I managed to get my Axim in allright (removing it from the case was more difficult). And, except for some flaring outward of the leather that goes around the sides of the LED screen, it worked pretty well . Some of the holes for the buttons on the side were slightly misaligned but still easily accessible. In addition, the reset hole on the back still lined up perfectly. I had no problem keeping the flip cover closed, despite the flaring around the screen. Another great feature of the Sena case is the ability to sync in the cradle without removing your Axim from its case. I was easily able to sync even with the extended battery attached.

I haven't used my extended battery in the past for lack of having a case that would accomodate its bulk (I was using a Rhinoskin), but now at least I have an option besides a naked Axim when I want to use the extended battery. In conclusion, if you can stand a slightly disfigured look to a beautiful case, and you can't wait for a case designed to hold an extended battery, this option could work for you.

I love my Sena case. I haven't used my Rhinoskin yet, because I like to doc my X50. The Ultra Clip is the best and Sena improved on it by using their own metal version of the grommet.

btw, The Sena will hold a second standard battery in the large pocket of the cover without any noticeable bulk. However, I almost never carry the second battery because I find I never run out of power with my usual daily use.

Regards,
Rand

You mean...you got it in that case...WITH the extended battery...and STILL got your X50 to fit in the cradle?!?!? I don't have an X50 yet, but...I'd have thought that was impossible!

One thing I'm curious about is the fact that the SD holders are facing down when the case is closed... I'm wondering as time goes by and the slots become looser will the SD cards fall out while walking with the unit closed ? I have seen diffrent case companys do it diff some have the slot facing up when the case is closed and some down, Do you think they are nice and tight ?

Yes It fit perfectly, as though it was not even in a case.

The SD slots on mine open down when the case is closed but they are nice and tight. However, if you are paranoid of losing your SD cards you could always put them in the large pocket that runs the entire length of the flip cover. It's tight, and opens up when the case is closed, but you'll be digging deep to retrieve your card .

We're almost there. I'm glad someone tried this ,But the break-in time for those LCD bulges would drive me nutso. It will conform eventually you know, that's why I like real leather over pleather. Plastic leather just flakes instead of flowing.
