Screen Protectors
I just got some screen protectors. I like the idea of keeping my screen reletively scratch free and being able to apply a new, fresh surface anytime I need. But applying these things is such a pain. The air bubbles are hard enough to get out alone, then the thing seems to attract little hairs (static I'm sure) which get between the protector and the screen and create thier own cool effect (a hair in an air bubble). So does anyone else have these issues, or suggestions on how to avoid them?

[font=Times New Roman]I find that you have to be patient. Make sure the screen is as clean as possible before you start and use a lint free cloth. Then (and only then) open the Protector and carefully put it on from one side (not end) across pressing it down as you go to get the bubbles to a minimum. Finally, and most importantly (they don't tell you this anywhere) I have found that small bubbles (less than about 3mm across) actually go away after a day or so. So you don't need to be perfect first time.

Note, once you have got dust on the underside of the screen protector it is the devils own job to get it off!

Good luck

scotch tape always works to remove dust

it does get easier with practice though...it used to take me forever and i would get a crappy fit, now i get a perfect fit in about 1-3 minutes

I got some cheap ones off ebay. I didn't want anything fancy. I don't notice them when the screen is on even, only when it's off. Thanks for the tips! I may be trying the scotch tape, and some lint-free optical wipes i have for my camera (does anyone know if a chemical in those things, I think alcohol, will ruin the screen? They're made for glass).
