I haven't bought that particular system, but did buy a similar system on Ebay for quite a bit less. It had the first 3 items, but not a battery adapter. There were 7 pieces in all, and some of it is junk, but the various charging cables work well for me.

Yes, I bought a package similar that included the Crystal screen protectors. I was happy to get them all together. I use all of the components here except for the Battery pack. Given a choice, I'd try to see if I could get a deal without that part. I just haven't used t yet, but I'm not foreseeing good reason to have it. Unless I'm stuck somewhere off-the-grid and had a need to play a game, it seems useless.

If I had it to do all over again, I'd compare prices individually without the battery pack, but I do think it's a good package to get as a new user to cover all the bases for power supply. All other components are very useful.

I bought that package but I haven't used the battery pack yet. I guess I should give it a try.

Yes, bought it a few weeks ago.

DirectSync - works great - syncs and charges using either my laptop or desktop computers
Car Charger - could not get it to charge while x50v was on - returning it
Wall Charger - works great
Battery Adapter - could not get it to charge while x50v was on - returning it

i checked that out and its so much cheaper than the boxwave set :approve: ...but the reason i am sort of leaning towards the boxwave is that it is swap-able between the different chargers with the same USB sync cable...

Dear Alias,

You should be able to use the Battery Adapter to charge your Dell Axim X50. Also, try using brand new batteries and charging with your device turned off.

If this does not work, it is most likely that you have a received a defective unit. Please contact our customer service department customerservice@boxwave.com for assistance.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to PM us! :)

Cheers!

Sung

Thanks for the input I'm intersted in getting the set, but have to agree that I don't see myself needing the battery charger.

As far as I know you can only use the "Car Charger" and "Battery Adapter" when your device is turned off, which is a bit of a bummer as the whole point of having a car charger in my mind is so that you can use your device without having to turn it off :(
