Headphones for my x50...

What headphones would you recommend for my x50.

I want them to be very compact so I can carry them in the inside pocket of my jacket. So I will probably have to go with the ear buds.

Are there certain ones that you would recommend for quality.

Or is there something bluetooth that is till compact?

Thank you

greg

I prefer the earbuds type like the Sony MDR EX71SL a little more money but the sound quality and the fit is just amazing. See here

What about Bluetooth headphones? Any great recomendations there? I'm looking for something I can use at the gym to watch movies on my x50v while I'm running on a treadmill. Idealy, stereo BT with noise cancellation... but I'll take mono w/out too... as long as it works :)

Wired earplugs can get snarled and easily pull out. BT are of course without wires. But wired earplugs should use less battery power than having to use the transmiter of BT.

If you're after good quality audio and don't mind the price, go with Shure E2C or Etymotic E6i although these might be too bulky in the pocket and maybe not the best for "active" use (shouldn't get sweat in the E2C & heavy cord creates harmonics issues when bouncing around). Yahba Opus aren't bad, plus a bit cheaper than the Sony EX71 and the sound isn't as muddy but the fit and finish seems lacking in comparison. Haven't listended to the Sony EX81 yet. Koss Plugs are also great value, usually around $15; light weight and good sound isolation--these are my gym 'phones. You might want to skim the ipod message boards (e.g., ipodlounge.com) for reviews or headwize.com

You might find the small review I posted a while back of my miniBuds interesting. Especially considering the compactness.

Ok...I am sick of seeing you post a link to these heaphones! :realmad:

You have convinced me to buy them! :approve:

I am buying them right now!!!

Can't wait!!!

I just bought it at Amazon.com...I hope I will like them! I was going to get them at Ecost...they were cheaper...but then you have to pay for handling (free shipping) it cost a dollar or so more then Amazon with both free shipping and handling...

I replaced my iPod in ear headphones with Shure E3's which I also use on my PPC. The difference in audio quality is amazing. Well worth the extra cash. Highly recommended.
