A while back I saw a rhinoskin case for the Axim X50 on ebay - how does it differ from the slip case that is included with the Axim?
It's an aluminium hard case
Astetics aside, does it really protect better? Does the Rhinoskin chance hitting the screen when the case is closed (like some of these other cases do?)
I've tested this and I haven't seen any contact from the inside cover to the screen.
How do Rhinoskin cases hold up against dust?
Plan on letting it sit for extended periods?
The inside is covered in a felt material which likes to hold onto fuzzies, but is easy to clean with some tape.
Against falls?
Dropped mine in the driveway the other day after having it for a total of 12 hours. Not a thing wrong with the Axim, no screen contact. The case got scuffed minorly.
How does it feel in your hand?
It fits the Axim pretty snugly so it's not much different aside from having the case cover hanging to the right which doesn't get in the way and is so light that it doesn't weight it down.
Does the case need to be removed to sync the X50v or do most of you just sync wirelessly to your desktop?
I dont' know if the cradle with the X50 or the X50v is different or the same, but with my x50, I have to remove it from the case to use with the standard cradle fom DELL. I only do this at night when I get home though, so it can charge. Not a big deal really. If you want to sync without having to take it out of the case , like you said, sycn it wirelessly (if applicable).
