OK I'm really happy with my X50v, but why don't Dell sell any accessories in the UK?

On the US website you can purchase the Charger Adapter on its own for $9.50 (part number 320-4099). However, they won't ship to the UK and it's not available on the UK website. I just spent half an hour on the phone to Dell Sales (in India I have you know) for them to tell me I've got to buy the complete power supply again.

I have the original Charger Adapter with my power supply, but want an extra one that I can leave in the car to connect my cradle. Anybody know where I can get one in the UK please?

You have probably looked but what about Ebay?

I have an X50V on order but am seriously thinking of cancelling and getting an Ipaq just because of the unavailability of accessories like a cradle, car charger etc in the UK.

You can buy the x50 cradle, charger adaptor and other accessories here. The prices aren't as good as in the US, but they're a very reliable Manchester-based firm. I've used them quite a few times and never had a problem. Go have a look! If you scroll down on the page I've linked to you'll see that the first item is an x50 cradle. If you click on "power adaptors and batteries" in the accessories menu, then on or about the 3rd item is a charger adaptor for the x50.

Just wondering, if you ordered the x50v, why you need to order a cradle? they come with one, and your given an option to buy another (and other accesories)at the time of purchase. Im talking about the UK dell btw.

I don't know if any of those replies were addressed to me but I was referring to a car cradle, car charger.

When I ordered my x50v the car charger wasn't included in the options although I see it is now but I can't find a way to buy it on its own (Dell UK)

Thanks for all replies. I have checked eBay and there are a couple of car chargers and USB sync cables, but this is what I actually want...

Dell Charger Adapter

I have bought an Arkon Powered PDA Mount which comes with a really neat short cable from the USB port on the mount to power the PDA. This would fit my old X5, but the X50v does not have a socket to directly connect a power lead, it needs the above adapter.

Yes I could replace the Arkon cable with one from eBay that has the Axim connecter, but they are all about 3 feet long. Plus the point is that I have a few different places that I charge my Axim for convenience, but now I have to remember to carry my one and only adapter around just so I can connect it.

How frustrating is that, when in the US you can get one for less than 10 bucks!

Anybody want to buy a bucket load of these and sell them on eBay please?

Ah I see now; sorry Shabby I thought you mean the AC adaptor bit.

I've had a look on all the sites I usually buy from, and none have got them listed. Looks like you may be waiting a while...

I have just looked again and there is still no drop-down option for a UK version.

When I emailed Seidio on Friday, this was the reponse:

"You can use the 3 in 1 USB Travel Kit for Dell Axim X50 (Retractable) without any problem.

The onlly thing that you might want to order with the 3 in 1 travel kit is the International Travel Adaptor Kit. The 3 in 1 USB Travel Kit comes with the US plug."

So, does that mean we have to pay extra?
