Axim Accessories in Australia
I recently purchased an Axim X50V in Australia and so far so good. I am very happy with its quality and performance.

I am now however wanting to buy a spare battery for it and am not sure if you can only do this through Dell Australia or if you can get them from elsewhere. The Dell website does not sell Axim batteries on their own, from what I can see they are only available for purchase with an Axim unit itself.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

ebay is a good place.

There is also a member here on the site who sells them for a discount. Let me look and I'll be back.

EDIT: Can't find the name of the member. Anyone else know?

dell should be able to send most accessories i believe

also look on ebay as most auctions will ship internationally

this is also a very good price and a great dealer that even has a support forum here on aximsite

Not a deal, Grentz. Just Dell Australia's standard charge. It makes up for the fact that they don't have much of a range of accessories.

I actually asked my sales rep why everything was so cheap (for instance, I'm getting the Dell BT keyboard for $108, when the ThinkOutside one is ~$220 here). He said that Dell doesn't make much profit from the accessories. I think of it as a trade-off for the higher initial price.

Thanks to all for your replies and help.

As an update I decided to call Dell Australia and see what they had to say and I was pleasantly surprised when they said they could sell me a normal sized battery for $14Aud including delivery....So I ordered one and it will be delivered as per normal Dell timeframes.
