I don't think so. I didn't seen any reference to Del anywhere on their site.

www.gpscity.ca has a reference to RAM Axim power cradles that are coming soon.
http://www.gpscity.com/gps/brados/13...rammounts.html

Look on the upper right of the page.

I just (20 minutes ago) fired off an email to staff@ram-mount.com asking when they'll be available for the X5. This is the weekend, so hopefully early next week I'll know.

If anybody wants to support their model, it wouldn't hurt to email them and put in a request.

Oh, and I agree about the confusing site. No wonder they're redesigning it and taking suggestions.

Update, I just looked for a non-powered X5 mount on GPSCity.ca and I found one. Here's a link to the cradle part of it and on the bottom of the page it lists complete mounting kits (handlebar, suction, screwmount, etc etc etc).

http://www.gpscity.com/gps/brados/13...2008/ramholde1

If RAM wants a site to model theirs after, these guys do a good job of making sense of all of the bits and pieces that go into RAM mounts.

I have a Ram-Mount ramb138de1 mount I bought to mount my Axim X5 in my airplane & it works like a champ. I just bought an Axim X50v though & the 138de1 doesn't hold it. I can't find anything (yet?) on the Ram-Mount page for the x50...any one have any luck with ram-mounting their x50?

Here's the pic of the mount for the x5:

I've got the universal cradle, so hopefully will hold the X50 when it arrives. would just like one that's a custom fit.

Do you have a RAM-Mount universal cradle? If it works, please let us know! I need a RAM-Mount to work with power plugged into the bottom & a CF GPS plugged into the top of my x50v.

FWIW, I talked to one of the guys at RAM-Mount & he said they are still deciding if they're going to make a dedicated mount for the x50 like they did for the x5.

If one of the universal mounts works, I'll just go with that to get things moving...sure would be nice to have this thing mounted.

I'm wondering if someone makes a secured mount. I bought the x50v as a laptop replacement, but now I'm finding there's no secure way to put this thing in the car. Even something like the "expandable plastic" RAM mount but metal...

Define what you mean by "secured." If you want to be able to leave the Axim in the car and have in secure against theft, I don't think you'll find one.

More of a theft-deterrent than secure, as we all know, most thefts are thefts of opportunity. Those who want it bad enough will get it no matter how much you lock it down.

Even something like the RAM Mount but made of metal.

Don't know of a metal mount, but here's my unsolicited $.02. Don't leave your PDA visible in the car, even in a mount that is allegedly "secure." Just remove it from the cradle and throw it in the glove box, or under a seat, just get it out of sight. That would be much more secure than to leave it in view, even if the mount was metal, padlocked, welded, whatever. Better yet, take it with you when you leave the car.

I was told by cyclegadets.com that a specific x50v cradle will not be available for a while (months). They sold me a universal cradle that works well on a motorcycle.
