Seidio 2500 and Brodit Mount
Has anybody tried the Seidio 2500 and a Brodit mount yet? I read a post from David Chang that it was possible to use the two together but not seen anybody else post about it.

I love the brodit kit but I'm that they're not creating a proper cradle for the x50 like they do the ipaqs and I'm that I've had it on order for 2 months and still no delivery.

So has anybody tried it combining the 2500 and a Brodit mount? Specificly with the Move Mount system from brodit?

The main problem is that in my car I have trouble mounting anything to the vents and I'm not a fan of windscreen solutions. Otherwise I'd buy the Seidio.

Hi,

yes, somebody has done that. Please follow this thread (with pictures) in a German forum:

unfortunately it is also written in German, but you might want to contact the author directly if the photos do not explain it sufficiently.

May be this will help

The ProClip mount comes with pre-drilled holes. I had to go to the hardware store, because neither the Seidio G2500 or the ProClip vehicle mount came with screws. There is then a piece that comes with the G2500 you can screw into the pre-drilled holes.

I put the G2500 on the swivel mount that came with it. The swivel mount and the G2500 will then slide on the piece I screwed onto the ProClip mount. I plugged the included cigarette lighter power cable into the the DC in on the G2500. I plugged the included headphone cable between the audio in and the headphone jack on my X50v. I also bought the GPS charging cable for my Earthmate BlueLogger GPS (it uses the same cable as the Dell BlueTooth GPS). You plug it into the DC out on the G2500 and connect it to the GPS unit. If you have a serial GPS, you can get a cable to connect it to the PDA.

I know this is horribly old but this sounds like a good idea. What screws did you use? Anyone can answer of course
