2200 mAh battery and cases

Hi all,

I am waiting for my unit and then started reading that there is a size difference between the 2200 and the 1100 battery such that it bothers use the rhinoskin hard case.

1.) is it true?
2.) what is the size difference?
3.) will it affect soft cases like the senna or the veja?

Yep. At the moment the only manufacturer that produces a case for the EXTENDED battery (which adds about half the thickness of the X50v) is PIEL FRAMA.

Rumors are that SENA will have one available... TOMORROW... but so far it doesn't look like it!

The 2200 battery sticks out of the unit slightly - Far enough that the unit will not fit in a Rhino Skin case. There are other threads on this, but I haven't heard of a case that will fit the X50 and an extended battery.

Hi,

Cost is about $25.00.

Are you sure about the piel frama case fitting the extended battery. I went to their site and didn't see mention of it and $80 is a bit steep for not being sure.

I considered buying that case, but went with the belkin instead. Does it work well? Also, when the Axim is in it is it secure, or does it move around?
