Car charger mount
Hello everyone, first let me say im sorry, my mind if fryed and I can think very well. I want to get a car mount that will allow me to charge my axim x50v. I use the extened battery so that is needed, and I may get a case oneday if they ever come out for the extended battery. I will be using a bluetooth GPS with this aswell. Im sure this doesnt make any sence since I cant really think right now so im going to try and break this down as best I can. Thanks!

What I want:

-Good car mount

-Can charge the axim x50v from a low battery (below 20%)

-Can hold the x50v with the extended battery as well as a case possibly

Here are the devices I am using:

-Dell Axim x50v with extended battery
-Rikaline GPS-6031-X7
(http://www.rikaline.com.tw/bluetooth_gps.htm) One on the right.

Here is a mount I think will do everything I want it to do, but im not sure.

Is this mount capeble of doing everything I want if not please tell me another option. Thanks and sorry if this doesnt make sence.

I have just recieved the same mount and it works great for me. It well do all that you are looking for BUT...not with the extended battery. You will have to use the 1100mAh battery & cover when in the mount or the thing will crash-to-the-dash when you least expect it.

Why, is the x50v with the extended battery too heavy?

No, it is too thick…. the cradle arms on the mount are not deep enough to hold it in place with the depth of the x50v with extended battery (twice the thickness of the standard battery). The mount is designed for the stock x50v without the extended battery.

I don't know if this will help, but Dell does have a 'travel kit' that includes an auto charger, although it isn't a mount. You plug it in and it will charge up the battery.

Gosh, in the picture, it really looks like it is big enough to fit the extended battery. Looks more than big enough...
