Got the Brodit mount finally!
After waiting six weeks Brodit finally released the x50/x50v Mount. I got mine today.

It's upto Brodit's high standard. But it's only a passive mount with no power to it. Not that it bothers me to much, as this is the most secure mounting system you can buy. I already have a car charger anyway.

I'll try and get a few snaps tomorrow.

Where did you order this from. I couldn't find on neither proclipusa.com nor Brodit.com?

Actually If you used Brodit before and already have the car mount (customized to your car model). Just get the adjustable Brodit/Proclip mount and screw on the swivel mount.

I got it from handnav.co.uk then had to annoy Brodit for the release.

I don't use screws to mount any of them I use "move mount" clips instead.

I'll try and get some pictures up today.

Sorry about the bad pictures

First from Brodit...

Move Mount

x50 Clip

MY PIC's (Sorry about quality) if needed I'll retake them next week

I'll take some better ones with it in the car next week. (When I get round to using a better camera)

Clearance behind the x50 is about 10mm.

All of the other mounts are fine. But the brodit is very secure. Far more secure than a windscreen or vent mount.

I can't see a need for amplified mount anyway as the speaker is loud enough for me to hear any TomTom instructions.

I second to Carphead. I used Arkon before, What a mess! With Proclip, it is very clean and robust setup almost intergrated to your dashboard.
