just some clarification on the dell BT keyboard
The bluetooth keyboard that dell is selling now and that works with x50v, is it the same keyboard as the one that they sell for x30? i personally didn't get the dell keyboard, so i just want to make sure. the dell sales rep insisted that the x30 keyboard won't work for the x50v and refuse to sell me that keyboard when i bought my x50v. in the end i had to spend more money to buy the TOBT keyboard.

so i just want to know whether the sales rep was talking BS and if so i am going to write a letter to Dell and make a complain to the dept of fair trading (i m in australia)

I bought the Dell BT Keyboard for the X50v. It had problems connecting. After 25 days some of the keys quit working. By this time I was addicted to using a keyboard on the X50v so I tried to get a replacement. It was going to take Dell several days to get me a replacement, so I overnighted the ThinkOutside BT Kybd. It looks the same, but it works flawlessly. The extra money you spent was worth it. I also noticed on the Dell site that it now says the Executive BT Kybd is not compatible with the X50v. When I asked the Dell rep about it, he did not have an anwer. I did recieve my replacement Dell BT Kybd, but I haven't used it.

Strange thing, but the Dell BT Keyboard is the Stowaway BT keyboard from ThinkOutside. I had issues too and finally just grabbed the ThinkOutside drivers and reflashed the Dell keyboard. Now it thinks it is a Stowaway and is much happier. I am not sure if that impacts the warranty or what would happen if the connection craps out during a reflash. But, it works and now I might actually get their BT mouse. The mouse driver is buundled with the keyboard driver.

I bought the dell BT keyboard last month (I'm also in Australia) -- I was not warned about any problems with x50v.

It works, but I had to use the drivers from ThinkOutside.
