For two months ago I bough a DELL 2200mAh battery on Ebay. Now This week I noticed it started to leak. I have ask the guy to replace this battery. So beware what you're bying on Ebay. His refs (the seller) where OK.
On the picture you can see the brown stuff is coming out, left below corner. I am glad it wasn't in my DELL X50v. Nevertheless $71.25 down the drain.
I am not yet reveal his identity.

Hmmm. Since I've never heard of this happening before to a Dell batttery on these forums, I think it's probable that you bought a counterfeit. Good luck getting your money back. I wouldn't want another batttery. However if it's not a wolf-in-dell-clothing, you may have some warranty though Dell. I might pursue that also. I can see from you picture that you have a serial number. They should be able to give you some help...? I would think...?

If you can get some money back, or don't want to take the chance of giving your beloved Axim another colonic with cheap battery juice, you may want to look at these threads:

i think maybe you should consider sometimes you just get a bad one in the bunch. how many of us have bought something that is meant to be superb by all accounts only to find it breaks etc?

maybe this is a bad one in the bunch. it can happen. i got my 2200 battery off ebay about 2 months ago and it's fine up till now.

hope your unit wasn't damaged and the seller can maybe replace your broken battery.

Ok, but he sells and therefor he's responsible for what he sells. No my dell x50v wasn't damaged.

I've also had a problem with a battery for my dig. camera.It didn't hold the charge quite well. Replacement was send, but had the same problem.

I like many other members have warned other about buying great battery deal over Ebay. If the battery deal is to good to be true don't buy it or you may regret it.

It's not really worth buying a battery at eBay when Lion has such a great deal. I was really skeptical at first, but I'm a believer now.
