I heard about the bluetooth mouse for Axim, and thought it sounded cool then I thought about it and questioned: What could you possibly use that for over the stylus?
To make that worth carrying around I'd have to be doing some serious web browsing or something to warrant it. Am I wrong?
How many people have mice for their Axims? What do you use them for?
I mostly just use mine at my desk but it sure is nice. It beats all the tapping.

It goes real well with the keyboard. You will find it is very natural to reach over and grab the mouse to move the cursor if you are working on a keyboard. It's what you are probably used to doing. It is less natural to pick up a stylus and tap the screen if you are using a keyboard.

I don't have the mouse, but I'll get one when the price comes down. When I'm travelling or away from the house, I use the keyboard, with the Axim on a stand. It would be a lot easier to use a mouse then to:
1. pick up the stylus
2. tap the screen
3. put down the stylus
Rinse and repeat every time I want to click a link.
Also, since my Axim is on a separate stand from my keyboard (which I like so I can reposition it for easier reading, and use the stand at other times), I have to hold the Axim so it doesn't push the Axim back a little every time.
i'd get a mouse if i had the cash. it's so annoying to be typing on the keyboard then fumble for the stylus and then poking at the wrong bit of the screen in true VGA mode.....happens alot when i wanted to check memory/batt status on wisbar and tapped the X instead..poof...application closed
Ok, we have the uses for them (a lot of them I never thought about and would really help) - but which ones are you using?
I've read that the only one that is even half-way sturdy is the billion dollar (exageration! )microsoft BT. The BT 500 from Radtech looks prmising but I also heard that it gets destroyed pretty easily.
I have the Think Outside...BT mouse. It works great! It occasionally gets cranky when I try to connect it, but not very often.
I grade a lot of short papers from students using TextMaker. The mouse makes it more like using my computer for selecting text, changing font attributes, and other tasks I need to perform during the grading process.
I typically use the mouse only when I'm using the BT keyboard.
i love the TO one that i have, its nice to use when working in programs like word or IE...the only thing it needs is to be able to work in true vga mode (like with OZVGA or SE VGA)
