By that I mean a full-blown car kit.

I am toying with the idea of putting together a system for my car. That will take my Axim, put it into a cradle, and have it:

1) Powered by the car.
2) Drive a small LCD panel mounted strategically in the car in true VGA mode, landscape.
3) Connect to a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
4) Headphone out drives the aux input on the car stereo.

This would let me have a larger swcreen in the car and do all PDA functions, plus connect to hot spots as I drive around, listen to MP3 through the car's stereo, and all that jazz...

Yes, I could just get a laptop for this, but it would be cool to integrate all this into the car, and be able to take the PC itslef with me in my pocket, and have the LCD hidden behind a panel in the car when I am not there. Although the Atlanta heat might be an issue with the LCD... Hmmm....

I'm thinking (and have been for years) about almost the same thing! My plans have recently changed because the dealership told me that I have some "issues" with my car. The mechanic said he stopped writing when he ran out of paper . Anyway, I'm in the ATL, too - small world - and heat is a real concern, or I think it should be. It's damn hot down here. We came down from Michigan about a year ago.
