My experiences with HP Bluetooth Stereo Headphone!

Since January, I have been using this HP BT stereo headphone with mixed results on my X50v, but overall, I like it, for the cordless convenience and the "very cool factor" to show-off to other MP3 player (e.g. iPod..) users :approve:

This headset offers excellent audio quality with WMP10, but little poppings with BetaPlayer, MusicPlayer,...

Note that the X50Mix tweak has no-effect on audio quality, neither the volume control from your Axim, you have to use the volume control on the headset-unfortunately that is the only one that works on the headset, the previous, next buttons don't work.

Until yesterday, I discovered there was a crack on the plastic headband and I lost the sound. GRRRR! I tried to repair unsuccessfully with some scotch tape...

Called HP Shopping and found out yesterday was the last day that I can still exchange for a new one ...Great timing! ,

They emailed me a FedEx label to send it back. In the meantime they sent me another one immediately (and charge my Credit card for it but they will re-imburse when the broken one arrives..)... Whahooo! Go HP! :approve:

Very good, I had one question about the BT Driver, can you remove it some how? Does it go away after you hard reset?

Just curious :)

I am glad you like them :)

The Broadcom BT stack is just a RAM modification to add the hi-quality audio profile, so there is no problem to remove it. Of course it goes away after you uninstall it or hard-reset...

I am using other BT profiles such GPS, Dial-up, etc. witout any problem!

They look nice, but how is the quality? I have been wanting something like that but I'm not ready to pay $100 for headphone unless the quality is superb.

You should write up a full review and submit it to Chris.

I am sure there are several people on this site who would like to hear about these headphones from someone who has been using them a while. :)

The quality is very decent for music listening. Volume, Treble and bass are very acceptable. All my friends who try them on, they are all very surprised about how good the quality is for wireless headphone...

Still, you can not compare with very good wired headphone (especially with X50mix tweak...), but it is waaay coool!

Read the full review here: http://davesipaq.com/articles/iPAQ_H...eadphones.html

Hmmm....I just read the thread followed the review...Lot of people complained about the plastic quality and the possible crack at the headband. I thought I broke the headband myself..But it just could have been the defect that people talked about....
