This is hands-down, the best case I've ever owned for a handheld! I ordered it yesterday morning and received it at 9:30 this morning (FedEx). First off, the case looks pretty cool in the black case. My X50v slides in very snuggly, with cut-outs for the stylus, headphone jack, and all the buttons (including the reset button).
Due to the lining on the inside of the case, the buttons are recessed a bit, making the button lock switch difficult to activate. It has a similar affect on the two side buttons, but helps solve a problem I was having. Prior to this case, I was using a Targus slip case that caused me to unintentionally hit one of the two side buttons just about every time I withdrew my Axim. Not a big fan of activating the button lock every time I used my X50v, the recessed buttons prevent this, while still being able to push the buttons with larger than normal fingers.
From the first time I opened the case, I was impressed by the quality construction. The double-hinged cover does not flop around like other flip top cases I've used, but stays at whatever angle I adjust it to. I can flip it out of the way, leave it at a 90-degree angle to prevent others from seeing what I'm doing, or I can fold completely around my Axim. Even with the post for the belt-clip attached to the case, the double-hinge allows the lid to be folded all the way back and still remain comfortable in my hand. And unlike my Covertec leather case for my X5 that wobbles on the belt-clip post when laid on a flat surface, the InnoPocket case lays flat (actually at a slight angle toward me).
The sleek finish of the case does cause it to feel a bit slippery at times. I plan on going to Radio Shack today to pick up some of the anti-slip strips that I heard they carry.
Additional points:
[*]Neoprene padding throughout for protection.
[*]Must remove X50 to sync using the cradle.
[*]Double clip lays flat against the top of the unit, so it can't be closed with SD or CF cards that extend above the top of the case.
[*]The screw-in belt-clip post seems to attach securely (although, I'll be adding a little Lock-Tite for extra piece of mind.
[*]One SD card holder molded into inside top of lid.[/list]
Again, this case is awesome! Well worth the investment. Even my wife, who hates everything about every handheld ever made, loves this case. So, it seems I found the case of my dreams. Now I just have to work on the wife of my dreams (just kidding).
In response to Joi's review in another post, the lid of my case fits perfectly every time I close the case, so his difficulties may be due to not having an Axim in the case.
I probably won't be able to get pics up here until tomorrow (going to work soon). Even then it will be tuff as my wonderful spouse spilled coke on our digital camera and didn't feel it was necessary to clean it off or even dry it, so I can't even open the lens cover. Do they have thread for selling wives on AximSite?
Are you using the little screw and belt clip that came with it? I tried it put that screw into the case but its either too small or the hole too big since it will not screw in and you can pull it out and in extremly easily.
I just ordered mine, even though it's out of stock I wanted to take advantage of the $5 off...I can't wait to get it. I just buy my better half her own ipod, pda and other tech toys so mine will last longer...lol

Views of the Magnesium flip case after three days of use...
I like the case itself even more than before. I like the solid feel and the black finish makes it look cool - all the chicks dig it! When it comes to a case, I'm definately a minimalist. This case adds very little (much less than I expected) to the overall size.
A few things I like (revisted):
+ The double hinge allows you to flip the lid all the way back and arrange the hinge to raise the back of the Ax a full inch off of a surface, which allows you to see it better (reduces glare too) than the PPC laying flat.
+ The sync cable fits easily thru the cut-away in the bottom so you don't have to remove it from the case.
+ The Axim slides out of the case easily enuf if you want to sync it in the cradle.
+ It's tough so far... the poor quality of the belt clip (I'll get to that later) caused my beloved toy to fall off as I was taking my coat off. It fell about 1.5' onto a tile floor. Picked it up and everything was fine - I couldn't even figure out what part hit the floor first.
+ Did I mention it looks cool and the chicks dig it?
A few things I don't like:
- The belt clip blows! The metal screw-in post is of high quality and has not budged a bit, unlike those of the RhinoSkin that unscrew themselves every couple of hours. The cheap plastic belt-clip gave me problems from the start. First, in order to click the post into the belt-clip, you have to depress the button on the clip and THEN slide it in. Doesn't sound like much, but it's really annoying. Second, the PPC moves around a lot in the clip so you're constantly wondering if it's going to pop out. Lastly, the clip is so poorly made (mine anyway) that the post would pop out if enough pressure was asserted. I remedied this problem by using the belt-clip from my old E&B Cases Visor Prism case instead. I don't have to push a button down to insert my Axim and I know the quality of the clip is better from my previous years of use.
- The case is so smooth, it's almost slippery. I want to be careful with this point, because the smooth case is also one of the reasons it looks so cool. Just to be safe, I bought eGrips (stick-on rubber "grippy" pads) from Radio Shack for $10 and attached two of the long strips on the sides of the case to add a significant amount of grip to the case. It's also difficult to see that the eGrips were not actually built into the case.
Hope this extra review helps. Obviously, I really like this case and highly recommend it.
