have you tried to squeeze in your X50v /w 2200m battery into a leather case?
I'm just wondering if it's an option, since the leather should stretch a bit. I don't know if I have to just limit myself within those special cases that supports extended battery or I can force X50v into a leather case that's not designed to support that extra size.

Which case did you want to stretch? If you do it post some pics. I think the Sena is a great case though, I have 3 of them including the extended battery.

Madmatt (or anyone).. if you had to use one Sena case which would it be, the regular or extended case?

I have a new X50V in the mail to me and I want to try one of the Sena cases in person before deciding to buy both sizes. I do intend to use both battery sizes. Squeeze an extended battery into a regular case or use a regular battery in an extended case? What do you think?

go for the extended battery case. It will still work with the regular battery, it will just be loose around the bottom. Unless you are holding the case upside down and open, your Axim will stay put. Stuffing the big battery into the regular case will stretch it out. It doesn't look very good on the face, and it will be a looser fit with the standard battery.

I just though of something.

Why not always use the extended battery cover, even with the regular battery? It would be easy to put a square of foam or something in the battery cover when using the smaller battery, and remove it when using the extended battery. This way, the Axim would never "float" in the extended battery case.

How about it?

Would the X50v /w extended battery fit a regular Sena case without the battery cover? I hope it does, because I'm planning to get a regular Sena case and jam the battery cover sensor with a tooth pick.

That's a great idea if you only want one case.

The Sena case is very tight but you can fit the extended battery with a little effort. However ,the part that surrounds the screen will buckle out and doesn't look very nice. I think the leather will eventually stretch to fit properly but there is also another material on the inside that looks like vinyl. The vinyl may not stretch very well and in fact may tear if you are not careful. I did notice that my case had a looser fit after using it with the extended battery, but my Axim was still secure.

I have been using the regular Sena case with the extended battery without putting the battery cover on. I placed a small piece of a nylon wire tie in the hole that triggers the battery door being open and closed the lock over it. Works great. It doesn't noteceably stretch the case either, no buckling of the sides like it does when you have the cover on. I'm keeping mine this way.

IMO, the Sena Extended Battery case works great with either the extended battery or the standard battery.

I wouldn't try it, I love my Sena because it's so tight... wouldn't want to stretch it!

I just tried my extra Sena blue case tonight. Not bad....

I was going to toss this case because I removed the belt clip tab. I replaced in the hole a dime and superglued it and colored it black. (talk about riggin this!). Now I have an extended battery case that may not fit the greatest but it does fit. Its now in the docking cradle...
