Think Outside Mouse settings with X50v?
I am having a little problem with my Think Outside BT mouse that I picked up yesterday. I am wondering if anyone else is having similar trouble, and what settings you are using. When I have the mouse in safe mode, it works good. However, when I scroll I get streaks from where the mouse was. Also, occasionally it will leave weird marks on the screen.

When I put the mouse in enhanced mode, the problems I have with safe mode are no longer there. The mouse works smoother and better. However when I turn it off, the cursor will not go away. I can turn the X50v off and back on, go to different menus, etc. and the mouse cursor will remain where it was when I turned the mouse off. The only way to get rid of the cursor is by a soft reset.

I think I remember reading something about this, but can't find the post right now, I am on my X50v using the Think Outside Mouse and Keyboard. So is there any way to use the mouse in enhanced mode without the cursor problem? If not, is there any way to use it in safe mode without the weird streaking and splotches that it occasionally leaves? I know, it isn't that big a deal, it is just bugging me a little.

I believe that these are known issues. Like you, I seem to recall reading about them. My experience is similar except I can't use mine in enhanced mode most of the time. My guess is that we're going to have to wait for upgraded drivers to get smoother performance.

My mouse works fine except when I disable it the cursor stays on the screen. The only way I can get rid of it is to do a soft reset. I'm also using the IR Thinkoutside keyboard simultaneously.

The cursor staying on the screen is because your in enhanced mode. For me safe mode works great! I love using the mouse on my ppc

Yeah, it is pretty great having a keyboard and mouse combo for my PPC, completly wireless via bluetooth. It is only a slight annoyance having the mouse cursor scroll problem. I really hope the next driver fixes this so I can run in enhanced mode. It seemed to work much smoother for me.

One more question. Is there any way to make the scroll wheel scroll less? I don't like that each time I scroll one click with the scroll wheel, it jumps the whole page. I have MultiIE installed, and have it set to scroll by line instead of page, and I would really like the mouse to scroll one line instead of a whole page as well.

Well, I guess I will be looking forward to a driver update. It still works great, just a few small bugs to work out.

Agreed! Love the BT KB and mouse combo! Just for the record, is the latest driver available V4.1 (that's the mouse/kb combo driver)?

Ok, I have narrowed down my scroll problem some. When I first open PIE with MulitIE installed, the scrolling using the mouse's scroll wheel is by line instead of page, just like I want it to be. Sometime in the course of my browsing, it switches to scrolling by page. I have yet to narrow down exactly when and why it starts to scroll by page instead of line, but hopefully I can figure it out and fix it.

Wow, just as I was typing this message, it switched from line to page. It seems that clicking on the quick reply box did it. Either that or using the keyboard.

Hmm... I'm seriously thinking about getting the TO BT Mouse, but these "little" problems are of concern... I notice that all of you have an X50(v)... does anyone that has the TO BT Mouse use it with anything else including a normal PC/laptop? Do you experience the same problems?

I want to use the mouse with my X30H and my laptop, BTW.

I've seen a couple of posts by folks using the mouse w/ the X30.
Not sure there are any drivers for laptop yet.

EDIT: I found at least one post of someone using the X30H with the BT mouse here.
