It's odd, the 2nd one I applied is slightly under the plastic edging around the screen on one corner. I read about the problems that causes in this forum, but my axim seems to be responding fine in that corner.

I bought the Brando protector, no problems, fits perfect. May be a good alternative to boxwave.

Well, it's design and size makes it so you should have it exactly in the middle, with none of the protector under any edge. Sometimes, being under the edge actually presses on the digitizer, and sometimes it doesn't. The bottom line is that the opposite side of where you are under isn't protected. It's not much of a space, but it is.
As for methods of applying, do a search for bathroom or bathtub or steam. People apply them in their steamy bathrooms in order for the dust and lint to not be in the air.
As for the water being on it... as long as you don't have enormous droplets, it will be fine. Tiny droplets scattered over it actually help it adhere to the surface better, and eventually dry (in a few hours).

Yup, it sure is. I had it for a good long while with no problems until I recently upgraded to the x50v.

Luckily, its not that large of a gap on the other side, and at this point, I really don't want to remove it and reapply it considering I'm apparently not good at it at all.

Coffee filters work well too.

When you want to remove the screen protector apply scotch tape to the surface and it will come right off smoothly. I have washed mine numerous times with soap and water with no problem. When I get ready to apply it I turn the shower on in the bathroom until the bathroom mirror just starts to steam up (this settles the dust and any other particles floating in the air). Then I apply the screen protector. Has worked perfectly for me everytime.

I had to open another package, considering I had ordered the 3 pack, and apply another screen protector.
What a pain in the butt, if they really don't react well to water, then fine, at least state that on the packaging!
I can only hope that this one won't leave the adhesive junk on my axim screen when I'm finally done with it.

These things are rubbish, frankly. I bought a couple and the first one just sat on the Dell screen with the corners not stuck down. Trying to reapply it was useless. I binned them in the end.

I use a needle to take mine off. It is really easy to work with now. I have washed it several times because of various resons. (use your imagination, I have a 2 year old boy!)

A needle! You're game... I've found a wooden skewer or toothpick work well, with much less change of scratching the screen (expereince taliking here :( )

i totally agree that you cannot wash them...i did, and i tried to dry it with a lint free cloth, but lint still got on it easily. and the whole thing look odd afterwards, and does not stick well afterwards. fingerprints are also hard not to get on it. i recommend not using soap and water, and just using some tape. they are so hard to put on in my opinion. i am on my 2nd one and did it in the steamy bathroom and still somehow got lint under the screen protector. go figure.
