a simple question about switching batteries
If I try to switch battery, since Axim's always running even when it's powered off, would it cause it to lose all the data in the RAM and force me to re-install everything? Is there backup battery built-in? If so, how much time do I have to switch it without losing everything in the RAM?

You won't lose any data simply switching the battery. They advertise 1/2 hour of backup battery time but I'm not going to test it. I can switch a battery in under 1 minute.

So would the backup battery get recharged when you recharge your battery?

Mine has been. Did you follow the charging advice that came with your Ax when you first got it? That is once it's chrging turn it on for a few secnds to get the backup battery charging. Once you've done that it charges every time you charge your device.
