I'm curious as to whether there is a practical benefit to the high speed memory vs standard. I intend on purchasing a 1GB card or higher. I know the standard speed writes at 2MB/sec and the high speeds write @ 9MB/sec. For loading large files, I'll be using a card reader via USB 2.0. I'm sure it will be faster for the High speed cards to be loaded to, but will it make a difference during use on the PDA?

It's my understanding that it will not. I've got a couple of cards--one is about 2x and the other is about 4 to 6x--there is no difference in utility once I get the cards into the PDA. However, the 4x does write faster in my CF card reader.

They will pretty much all act the same while in your PDA, but write speeds are what kill most. Some are even "1x" and do better than the "60x" cards...
