Flash Card Speed
What speed is recomended for flash memory cards (CF or SD) for Dell Axim X50v?
I want to use fast cards, but I don't want to pay for the fastest trasfer rate cards if the PDA itself has a certain transfer limit.
Thanks bill@solarmaze.com

The fast ratings on cards apply to some digital cameras, not to PDA's. Save your money because the interface on Pocket PC's limits the transfer rate and you won't see an appreciable difference between card speeds.

However, if you are planning on using your cards with a card reader to transfer files before you use them on your PPC (I use mine to watch movies, so I transfer big files a lot), then those may transfer faster on your PC than they would otherwise. In my opinion, not worth the extra money, though.

Edit: Also, you may not want to post your full email address in forums like this. There are Internet programs that will grab addresses out of forums and you'll start to see a TON of spam. If you want to post your email, type it like billybob AT aol DOT com or something like that.

This is true. But for general purpose, you really don't need a faster transfer speed on your flash cards. Most people won't even notice.
