x50v and Sanyo PM-8200

I have this phone with (bleh) Sprintpcs service. I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that makes a cable for it to connect for wireless internet? I tried GoMadic.com but they said they ran into a snag with the phone taking serial connections but the axim using a USB interface. There has not been ANY updates on if they will do it or not. I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this for me?

TIA

Whew, that is expensive at $79.95. Anyone know where to get one a bit cheaper? Thanks for the heads-up on this site though. This will definutely be one to bookmark incase I cannot find any cheaper alternatives.

I have just purchased a cable to go from my Axim x50v to my SANYO PM-8200 for $5.00 from www.expansys-usa.com. I have not confirmed that it will for sure work with my model of SANYO phone, but should find out soon.

They say they ship out same day if order is recieved by 3pm Central time.

My question is this: Once I recieve the cable, I am wondering if I will need a special driver that will allow me to connect to the SANYO phone. Any ideas?

I too use SprintPCS for phone service. I do know that when I use my cell to connect to the Internet using Vision, I get connected at 320-kbps. It is very impressive to myself and I am very happy with it. I can connect to remote computers using Remote Desktop Connection w/o alot of lag.

Anyone know where to get the drivers for this phone at?

woah....5 bucks. let me know if it works.

the reason it is so expensive is that both the phone and axim are marked as USB devices...and there is no Hub or host to connect the two of them and let them talk. u need something to convert the signal (serve as the host) so the 2 can talk to each other...i think that is what the little box on the cable from supply net is.
