Going to the UK with my x50v
I want to use my x50v in the UK when I visit there this August. I thought I read somewhere that I could use my existing power supply and that I just had to replace the North America power cord for a British type. Is this true? If so, can I just buy this cord anywhere in Britain?
Thanks!

you could get a plug converter so you don't have to relpace the power cord...but yes you can use the power supply unit in the UK...I do all the time when I'm there without any problems...

The plug converter is the easiest. Being English living in the US I use them a lot to enable me to use things from the UK. I believe you can get them in the US at WalMart (online is where I found them) or at the airport in the UK.

As long as the X50 doesn't use more than 200w (which I'm pretty sure it doesn't ), you can simply buy a shaver's adapter when you arrive in the UK. All electrical stores sell them - they cost about £2 / under $4. They simply convert 2-pins to the UK's 3 pins and comes with a 1 amp fuse built in.

I constantly move between UK, France and US (3 different plugs models, what a pain!) and I found the plug converters are easy to use, cheap, and work for everything. Including your Axim.

that one was quite impressive!

yup i agree with the above people about the simple converter because your power supply.converter for the axim is 100-240v - so you just need the input.
