best solution for vga out
hello,

just wondering if anyone has played around with vga out cable kit?
I have tried using betaplayer with the matrix trailer from their website.
The trailer plays excellent on the x50v display but is very splutery on a tft monitor using mirror mode.
If anyone has any suggestion to improve the quality i would be very grateful, using the pda would save me having to lug around a 14" tv/dvd combi for my job.

I don't have the cable myself but I have previously read some posts that show you how to fix this issue.

The reason that the video is slow is that the PDA is running 2 in displays, the internernal and the external. If I remember correctly, one of the devices (internal or external display) uses the 2700g controller and the other the built-in controller which results in very slow speeds since the image has to be renered twice, one of which is rendered on the non 2700g controller.

Anyway, to the solution, hold down the power button and press the record button. This will turn off the internal display and leave only the external. Although you los ethe internal display, you should have speed practically identical to that of using the internal display by itself and form what I've read, it works fine with beta player.

Hope this helps.

Ditto - it runs as fast on external as on the PDA's LCD display when you disable mirror - it really flies. The PowerVR OpenGL demos also display and run like lightening on external.
