I'm using the Dell screen protectors and haven't had a problem with them yet (fingers crossed it doesn't ever happen).

I hate these things. I ruined 3 of them just trying to get them on, ant the one i managed to get on has a few anoying specs of dust under it. I have had it on for 2 weeks now and under normal use it is loaded with scraches. It's like they are to soft or something. anyway I am prob going to buy a "good" one soon, but damn they are expensive.

"Good" ones do cost more, but they also last much longer so it evens out in the end.

I use the Dell ones too, and after having used a WriteShield on my old iPaq h1910 (same one for over 2 years with no scratches), I gotta say the Dell ones are pretty weak. They scratch easily and impede stylus slidage.

That being said, I'm still using one, so they can't be THAT bad.

I own a pack they work, i have to replace it on the 25th of every month (Got them Christmas Day). I hate them, but I got them reallly cheap, like $1 a protector, so I can't complain. However, I'm saving up for a new one.....I dont know.....

I am using one from JAVOedge. It is very durable. I would highly recommend it.

I picked up a 12-Pack of the Dell protectors about a year ago. I thought I'd thrown them out, but I believe I've located them. Wouldn't go back to them, to much of a pain to apply, and they look terrible . . . I've been usin the BoxWave ClearTouch, and I really like them.

screen protectors for almost free and they work
I copied the article below .....just received my x50 the other day, trying to figure it out and getting there. Bought it mostly for SKYPE and appointments. First I tried out the screen protector material on a microwave door (avery) to see if it left a lot of glue....no problem...leave a slight space on al sides like 1/8" so getting it off eventually will be easy.

Homemade Screen Protectors
I first got this idea from an article at Dale Coffing's website: http://www.dalecoffing.com. When I tried out his idea, I never looked back! Essentially, homemade protectors are self-adhesive laminating sheets available at any business supply store. The brands I've tried out include Avery Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets ($9 Cdn for 10 8.5 by 11 sheets) and 3M 4x6 Photo protectors ($3 Cdn for 5 sheets - can make 10 screen protectors). All you need is a straight edge to cut these sheets to the screen dimensions of your Pocket PC and stick them onto the screen using the edge of a credit card to smooth out the air bubbles. Just a word of caution: Make sure you try sticking a small piece of the sheet and make sure it comes off easily. The Avery and 3M I've used don't leave a sticky residue behind. Not only are homemade protectors cheap, but they won't distort a colour screen and the surface is wonderful for entering text.

I ordered the Dell protectors with the x50V order. Must say, they mark very easily. Am currently looking for a better brand.
The Dell protectors are better than nothing, however after 2 days use, they showed pressure marks caused by the stylus and cause viewing problems outside.
Had none of these problems with protectors I have purchased in the past for my Palm's......Hangon, my Palm screen protectors where cut to fit....Wonder if they are big enough......dug them out and they are.......Gotta Dash...

I'm also using the Dell screen protector. So far so good. But after reading this, think I'm gonna change it soon.

Yeah I got the screen protectors from Dell too. I did ruin one trying to put it on... opps...

The next one went on OK but it marks really easy.

But hey they do the job, they came with my X50v for like $6 Australian (ie. $4 US) so I will look for a better one later.

What I think I should get is a good case.

Cheers
Adrian
