sena case with or without
First let me start by giving thanks to all of you. As someone new to the pocket pc experience(about 2 months now axim x50)I have gain so much knowledge from all of your expertise..I have usually found the answer to my question before i needed to post.
I have a very simple question...I am going to purchase a sena flip case and i am curious about whether to get it with belt clip or without? Has anyone purchased one or the other and wished they had gone the other way?
many thanks

I have the Sena case with the belt clip. I do not use the belt clip that often but appreciate having it when I do. You can always remove the clip if you are not using it though the remaining stud is not removable.
If you are going to keep your X50 in a shirt pocket most often I would not get the case with the belt clip because the stud may be annoying then.
The only thing you need to be aware of is since the cover is magnetically held closed it can often open up when wearing it on your belt.
I would say if you think you are going to use the belt clip at all get the one with the clip and remove it when you do not use it.

Had the clip on my sena for my x5 and liked it. That model had a snap closure though. Loved having the axim on my hip and always available. Real tough in fact I ended up breaking it in two when I snaged getting into the truck. But appreciated the case never sliped out of the clip.

I loved my X5 Sena case with the belt clip. Then my hands became too weak to use the clip. Sure, I can remove the clip, but the little post still sticks out of the back and it is annoying.

I currently have a Sena case with and without a clip for my X50V that I am reviewing. I have to say that I prefer the case without the clip but only because my hands are not strong enough to use the clip. I would much rather have my X50v on my belt than stuffed in my purse. But that's just me.

I am just getting ready to order the Sena case and am looking at the same question. I had the Sena case w/clip for my Ipaq 2215 and I did wear it on my belt about half the time....problem for me was that occasionally when I had it on my belt I would whack it on something i.e coundertops etc. Never damaged it but sure did make me cringe. The other half of the time when I wasn't using the clip it was usually wearing a suit with the ppc in my breast pocket...I found that wearing it on my belt under a suit coat looked funny to me since it "buldged out" just a little too much and in my breast pocket with the little stud sticking out it was annoying. Sooo...this time I think I am going with the one without the clip and will just carry my Ax around in either a little "man purse" of some sort or in shorts with cargo pockets.

I wear black slacks at work and so I opted for the solid black with belt clip. The belt clip is very secure and the PDA removes quickly with a twist and a push of the release button. It is true you have to watch where you go and not bump things. Since I don't wear a suit jacket at work this is the best solution. I do have a pair of the Levi Mobile Pants. They came with a hidden cargo pouch in the slacks leg. When I wear these slacks I can put the Axim in the cargo pocket. This is a nice alternative when I know my day will include presentations in front of a group.

Bottom line: No jacket....get a clip
Wear a jacket (or you carry a purse).....no clip
