Case For my Axim X50v
I work in a hospital and would like to get a case for my Axim x50v which one would be good. I like the Innopocket Magnum Case but they are out of stock. I was thinking of a leather case but I do not think it protect as well as the Magnum Case. I need help in this which one would be better for a Hospital setting.

Thanks
Felix

If you don't want to wait for the Mag case and want a hard case go for the Rhino aluminum.

I have never had a problem with leather cases not protecting my PPCs. That said, my PPC spends most of it's time in my purse or on my desk when not in use. I used to wear it on my belt with a leather case and had no trouble.

How rugged of a case are you looking for? Are you wanting a wearable case or one to just put in your pocket?

If you are going to wear your Axim, I would go with the Krusell (best closure) or Sena (most secure clip). If its going to be in a pocket, I'd choose the Sena (nice design and can be cradled in the case)

i sure hope that innopocket comes out with a mag case that will work with the extended battery. I love the fact that it opens from the top and that it opens all the way. even if it only opened MOST of the way because of the lump, it would still be better for me than the others that open to the side.

I bought a sena case for my axim, I don't know how it performs in the hospital setting. But, i'm pretty sure it will be pretty accessible. I start my clinicals this friday, i'll let you know how it performs.

If you are going to keep it in a pocket, and have it held in your hand a lot to take information, then a cover that opens like a book will become a real pain. That is how my old case was. Why not consider the Sena case that has a cover that opens over the top, and you can hold it open with one hand. The leather case need never come off because you can sit the unit with case in the cradel. I am very happy with mine.

The sena case are very nice but I am looking at the point of protecting the PDA not just for the look. Leather does not protect it better than a hard case and I do like the over the top opening not the book type opens that most case are like. I do not want to have to worry about my PDA banging against anything if I have to work with ppl that I need to hold on to and in some case lift up completely.

I just got my x50v last week and am also looking at getting a tough case for it.
Near the top of my list right now is the Brando metal case, only $28usd. I like the InnoPocket Magnum case but it's $39.9usd plus I dunno how much for shipping. The Brando is only $3usd shipping, which I was going to pay anyways since I wanted to get an ultra clear screen protector, so I might as well order them both at the same time (same shipping price.)

I am also looking at the Innopocket Magnesium case. Can anyone tell me how much size this case adds? I would still like to fit my axim in my shirt pocket if possible.

I ordered from Innopocket on Friday and got email notification that it shipped yesterday, so hopefully they are back in stock.

I ordered that case today. They said they were in stock. Also the basic snail mail delivery said like 3-4 weeks or you can fed ex it for $17 rather then the basic $6.
