Congrats!! :

I suppose it depends on what you typically do with your Axim. A little more information might yield some helpful suggestions.

Get a good quality case and some screen protectors. Do a little homework around the site for quality choices of both.

well with my X30 i would stream movies, however with my X30 it would ussally buffer every min for tv shows, would that just be the lack of video processing, or would it be the 802.11B? I would also want a 2200 Batt, wheres the best place i can get one? THX

I would compare battery prices between Dell and Lion BAttery. I bought my 2200 battery from Lion a couple of months ago and got a very good deal. I don't do the streaming thing, so can't give any suggestions there. I think you'll find the video handling capabilities of the X50v to be quite exceptional.

Keep in mind that the 2200 extended battery bulges out the back, so it's no longer flush. It even comes with a larger "humped" battery door because of the extra bulk. This means it won't fit in any "normal" case, except those designed for the extended battery.

PDAir makes an aluminum extended case, I believe. There's also a leather one or two out there.

As for streaming movies, what are you using? Windows Media Encoder?

The 10Mbps speed of wireless will far surpass typical DSL/cable speeds, so if you're streaming from there, it's not the WiFi.

I don't think there is such a thing as a cheap blue tooth reciever.

I have the Pharos Ostia package that Dell is pushing for $180. Seemed to work excellent for me so far.

I guess it would depend on the layout of vehicle as to whether it would be a hassle or not.

The nice thing is you can always buy the BT adaptor for it later if you find it to be a pain.

Here is what I would recommend:

1. Case. Sena for leather
2. Extra battery.
3. Boxwave or Brando screen protector
4. 1GB SD card. Lexar

Thats it for now..

Yep .. it's available on Dell's site:

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/P...re furbished=

I purchased it after I used the Pharos serial GPS on my old Axim x3i. I now use the BT version of it on my x50v.

I got an Altina GBT708 BT GPS off of ebay for $95 delivered from Florida. I have had it now for several months and it works great.
