Screen protector questions
ok...i know these questions have probably been asked before, and i apologize, but i did a search and didn't find what i wanted...

ok...i just got my brando ultraclear protector in the mail about 1.5 hours ago. it took me about 45 minutes to get on, cuz it was always either crooked or full of lint. now, here are my questions:

1) i think there might be a teeny weeny piece of lint under it. i can't tell for sure...but there's no air bubble around it, it's completely flat. i can't feel it when i run my finger or stylus over it. will it hurt anything? i heard somewhere that stuff under the protector is bad for it...

2) i have 2 small air bubbles under the protector (no lint in them). will they flatten out over time? or is there a way to fix them? the instructions said to take the protector off and put it back on. that's not happening...if i had ignored those instructions to begin with, i would have had it perfect the first time i put it on...no lint, no fingerprints...oh well.

my major concern is that these things will hurt my screen. if the bubbles will go away in a few days, i can live with them, as long as they do no damage. i really, really, really don't want to take it off again...

when all is said and done though, this protector is BEAUTIFUL! the picture is bright and clear, and it's easier to write on the screen...the stylus glides over it soooo smoothly!

ok, well, thanks in advance for any answers/links to other threads that you provide!

As long as the 'lint' isn't hard then you should be fine.

I'm not sure how the Brando compares to the Boxwave's that I use, but you might consider using a credit card or similar card to smooth the airbubbles out, as for the 'lint' if you can't feel it, it can't really do any harm. If it were something dangerous there'd be a feel to it I believe.

Also, are the Brando's washable and reusable? I only ask for curiosities sake, as that was a drawing point for me getting my Boxwave Crystals.

BTW... did you try the link for "applying a screen protector"? That worked really well for me when I installed my Boxwave Crystal. No lint, and on straight.

i just received the brando ultraclear last week and i put it on the screen in the bathroom with the tub running hot water to keep the dust in the air down, and it went on the first try. I used the old cheap protector to clean the screen before appliying the brando and it sits flat no bubbles the corners dont lift ive been using all week and its the best protector ive used in 2 years of having axims. the instructions say that you can clean the protector with scotch tape, but if you have one of the old cheap protectors around i would use that first then reapply it in the bahtroom, and start at the bottom of the screen and roll the protector up the screen aligning one edge and let the brando lay flat, if it isnt flat pull it back up and start over your not going to push bubbles out you dont need to when you roll it on flat, the adheasive film looks wet as you roll it on then it seems to disapear, hope this helps

yes - they are washable and reusable. i tried the credit card thing last night. i worked on it some more a few hours later, and was able to get them out. thank you )

also, to the people who suggested the bathroom trick: i did try that, it didn't work. oh well...hopefully this protector will last a very, very long time, so i don't have to do it again! lol...
