Lexar, PNY, Kingston, all have been trouble free.

Best bet is to try and stick with a name brand that offers a replacement warranty should you have any problems. Since the size of this card will most likely only be of use to you for the next few years, a three year warranty will due. Some manufacturers offer lifetime warranties.

I bought 3 Lexar 1GB SD cards which have been funcitioning perfectly so far...I initially bought a Sandisk 1GB card and tried to format in a USB card reader and killed the card somehow...might have been operator (me) error but it spooked me just enough to switch to Lexar given the many problems people have had with Sandisk.

Mrk has given solid advice on price!

Unless you can use the card in a camera I wouldn't spend the extra on ultra or high speed.

The lexar plain cards have been tested to read X32.

I got SIMPLETECH 512MB SD, works well.

Ordered SANDISK ULTRA II 1GB SD, hope it works well.
